Today we heard from our very own Victor Low. If we only had more time! Vic had so much to share
about his Christian journey. It began long ago as a kid growing up in Chinatown. He spent endless
hours at the YMCA playing with friends and hanging out. It felt like an extension of his home.
Discouragement came when he was a young man and was given the responsibility of counseling very
young children at an overnight camp. He reminisced on how that one night felt like a lifetime. Hide
and go seek can only be played so much...and he was worn out! With no training or experience he felt
inadequate and believed he had failed. At the time he felt frustrated but later realized his faith in God
would strengthen him and that God would be beside him no matter what circumstances confronted
him.
What moment did you have that helped you find comfort once you surrounded yourself in prayer?
When did you feel helpless and frustrated? How did God help you?
Psalm 34:8
Taste and see that the Lord is good;
blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.
Matthew 7:24-29
Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house: yet it did not fall, because it had it's foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.

George Lai wrapped up John 1:1-2, 14 : Thank you George with this blessing.
In the beginning was the word
and the word was with God
and the word was God
And
the word became flesh.
Amen!
