A wonderful session with George Lai who wants us to think about The Reformation and The 5 Solas: 1. Only Scripture 2. Only Faith 3. Only Grace 4. Only Jesus Christ  5. Only for the Glory of God and ties our discussion back to Luke 17:11-19 about  the Ten Lepers: George says gratitude is only part of the story. The big takeaway is about "sin, punishment, guilt"... The Ten Lepers are asked to see the priest but they are already cleansed by Jesus. Once  purified, The priest will determine if  they may go out into the world again. https://photos.app.goo.gl/Zx9NLJB8Jm8dvYx76 The Sunday Gathering "A place to get to know each other better and grow closer to God"

George Lai leads the Gathering in a group discussion about the Ten lepers: Luke 17 : 11-19 (NRSV) On the way to Jerusalem Jesus was going through the region between Samaria and Galilee.  As he  entered a village, ten lepers approached him.  Keeping their distance, they called out  saying, "Jesus,  Master, have mercy on us!"  When he saw them, he said to them, "Go and  show yourselves to the  priests." and as they went, they were made clean.  Then one of  them, when he saw that he was healed,  turned back, praising God with a loud voice. He  prostrated himself at Jesus's feet and thanked him. And he was a Samaritan.  Then Jesus  asked, "Were not ten made clean?", Then he said to him, "Get  up and go on your way; your  faith has made you well". Think about these questions: 1. Why did the lepers request that Jesus have mercy on them? 2. Why did Jesus respond by directing them to show themselves to the priests?
